What is the actua Crash Test rating on a tC?
I thought it was 3 1/2 stars, but some of these posts hint that it is better.

I have 9 (!) airbags. Are all of these standard?

 

I think it's 4 for frontal and 5 for side. But when I saw that rating it was for a 06 tC standard. I also have the 9 airbags and it's only standard on the RS 2.0 I believe, not 100% sure. Standard tC gets 3 airbags.
The 9 airbags will be more of a cushion but doesnt alter how the body of the tC will fair in an accident.

 

9? hmm passenger, driver, knee, side curtain pass2, side curtain drive2, side impact in driver seat optional, side impact in pass seat optional I think thats right.

i crashed mine at 77 mph and i had 4 of them go off! car crashes very well, i walked away! (well after some xrays just to make sure i was ok.)

 

i always joked to people that if im ever ina crash, the car will shatter, and ther'll be 9 airbags floating gently to earth like baloons!

haha I used to think that too! My brother says my car is made of foam and when the airbags deploy, it will look like Mr. Stallone's car in Demolition Man.
