Default OZNIUM HID's(updated with pics)

Ok guys, i have been searching this all day, and i havent been able to find it, and i also know this should be in the aero and ext forum but i think I will get a lil better response here....

I got the 8000k HID from oznium.com and i have been playing around with mounting the ballasts(which look bigger than all the others i have seen) and it seems like they only work when the ballast isnt touching any metal. Does anyone else have this problem?

I think i will have to head to wal mart and get some 3M heavy duty double sided tape and then go from there. Please, anyone with the oznium.com HIDS, where did you mount your ballasts? I was thinking of doing it right in the backof the colling fan plastic part but it is pretty damn close to the header cover that gets pretty hott!

BTW these things look great when i can get them to turn on!

didn't notice the problem that your having But! i originally i was going to "Velcro them to the car but the ballast are so huge! so instead of wasting the Velcro i left it on for padding and zip tied them to the "hood rim" of the car they haven't moved and don't bounce around nice and snug. though i did have to reverse my wries to get them to work pnp my ****!...so maybe my velcro paddind is preventing me from your problem.....also hows your grounding in the car??? amp installed?

i have 8000k no my tc and it works great at night, but what i found out was when it rains pretty hard, my buddy' s 6000k has more visibility than 8000k, 10000k will def look brighter, but think about that. and also what fi found out when i was installing my hid;s were the passenger side mount goes on right beside the headlight mounts onto the metal frame and the drivers side mounts better on the battery mount...at least it works good for me

your right about the 6k being brighter, but wrong that the 10k will be better. 10k will be ALOT worse! The rain doesnt help with either since it reflects off of the drops and street. If they made 5k, go with those!

NIGHT SHOTS

ok after ZERO debating, i have decided these things are amazing! they are so damn bright, and i went for al lil drive at night to see if anyone flashes me, and nothing yet!

the only problem i have is that once out of about 10 times turning them on, the right one doesnt come on, but i think its just because i need to REALLY secure the wiring clips that go into the HID, but all i have to do is turn them off and then back on. I was looking all day for a good guide to do this, but you would seriously have to be a caveman(sorry for any cavemen ) to not be able to do this. The hardest part is mounting the ballasts! The best part about these is they make the whole headlight housing turn BRIGHT BLUE, which looks soooo sweet, but it doesnt show up in the picture at all. And Phil, the man at oznium.com is 110% behind his products so if you ever have a problem, shoot him an e mail and he will take care of you faster than you can snap your fingers! I will be going back to oznium.com for EVERY SINGLE LIGHTING PIECE i ever need!

if you have any questions let me know and i will hit you back!

you have to go thru an hosting website (i do putfile.com) and then you just copy the bb link that they give you and paste it in the message thing and there you go. I dont like how al the pic turn out small tho, but i guess you can click on them to make them bigger!

damn you, you just made me hijack my own thread

If you put some Silverstars in yuor fogs they'll be almost as white as your HIDs instead of the yellow they are now.
