What is the largest size wheel you can put on an XB? I am looking into 20's if I can get them in there with out causing any problems... I also want to lower the car too.

Let me know.

if you want to lower the car, i believe 18 is as big as you can go.
But I have been told there are 20's on the market, especially made for the xB's low ride.
All I can say is keep your eyes and ears open, and you can find anything. But as the scions become larger in popularity, you will see many more parts for them.

I have seen a few people with 20s. I believe the one person had to cut his wheel well to make it work without rubbing the hell out of his tire. I have 18s on mine and they are very close to rubbing.

you can go 19's with a 2" drop or more without having to do any mods on your wheel wells. good luck

I don't knwo who lieed to you. I have 19x7.5's on my car and they did rub in the front until I fixed that issue. They won't rub at stock hieght, but you drop it 2 inches and it will rub everytime you turn the wheel all the way to one side or the other. It will also rub if you hit a big bump or slope in the road as well.

GO WITH 18/19" WHEELS.. BUT GO WIDE.. GET 8" WIDE RIMS
NOT 7.5 AND UR RIMS WILL LOOK BIGGER AND BADDER THAN OTHERS.

no, one lied to me Munch, I've been running 19x8's since day one, last sSept. when i bought my car. I have Axis tc evos,Neos and Mesh II as well as Velox zeta 8's and my car is lowered 2.25 in the front. the only rubbing I've ever experienced is on the mesh II's whe I make hard U turns, other than that no probs what so ever.

What offset are your wheels? That maybe a reason why you never rubbed. Give all the info before you start jumping over hills and valleys. I'm running the Tanabe springs with the 2.25 drop for the front and the 2 inch drop in the rear. My wheels are a 19x7.5 45mm offset with 225-35-19 inch tires and they did rub when making u-turns in the front. The rears never rubbed at all. Not trying to start a war, I just giving the facts :D

A little ownage going on
You just owned yourself by opening your trap :P . If you don't have info for this thred then why bother to post

C'mon fellas, it's all good. No disrespect Munch, you're right, here's the info on my wheels & tires . the Mesh II's and Neo's are 40mm offset and are both on Yokohama 215/35/19 and the TC Evos are 42mm on Nittos 215/35/19 as well. I also run 5mm spacers in the rears. Hope that helps out.

See that's the info I was looking for. The 40mm offset is the key,That's why you didn't rub with the other 2 wheels but you rubbed with the 42mm offset. I'm running a 45mm offset with a wider tire and that's why it rubbed abit before I fixed the problem. No hard feelings lifes too short 8)

thanks all for the info... I am going to get rims pretty much as soon as I get my car and I will prob lower it too so I just want a good combo of springs and wheel size to get a good wheel to gap ratio. I dont want to rub at all and I dont want to go to low either. I guess I should do 1.5 - 2.0 drop with an 18"?

Let me know...

Im a scion salesman at olathe toyota scion in Olathe Kansas, What we've been told is that 19s are the biggest wheels you can put on an Xb with out rubbing...i dont know all the technical information, just repeating what we learned in training :-) I also havent gotten that far on my xb yet, im just going to wait until after winter (for those you in CA, in kansas we have to take our wheels off in the winter due to salt on the street, it will eat away your wheels). So i hope that helps some.

if you run those in the 19x8 w/ maxis lip you will need spacers for the back. 5mm recommemded, Adrian (scioninla) runs those wheels.

Why wouldnt they clear the brakes? They are and 18" wheel.... is it cause of the offset or something?

The curvature of the face. How other way is there to get a 2" lip with a 40mm offset.
