Default Curious about front bumper area

im just curious, how many of you out there have had problems with your tc's and not having a front liscense plate? i dont really want to drill holes and am just wondering how often if at all youll get some unwanted red and blue company in your rearview.

there is no way to say if you will or won't get pulled over. However, for your reference. I have had my front plate off since August. No tickets. I don't drive stupid or anything either. Now that I'm turbo'd however, my intercooler seems to magnetically attract cop presence to me.

It was barely even a week before i was pulled over, but i told the officer that i had taken it off when i was painting my grille and lost the screws. thought it worked till i got a $50 fine. then about a week later i was pulled over again for the same reason, i decided to keep it on.

I think your ? should be answered by your location. Are the cops over all gung-ho on street racers? Have you or your friends been pulled over for really lame ish? It all depends on how the fuzz is over there. They used to be like this over here until they started an operation to dismantle gangs. I would say as long as you don't drive like an **** and weave in and out of traffic, you should be aiiight.

There are ways of having a front license plate without having to drill holes in your bumper.

if you plan on driving around w/o legal things you better make sure you never drink or whatever while driving - you dont wanna get pulled over for stupid reasons and wind up going to jail.

i've had mine off for like 2.5 months now and no problems, i don't drive stupid though. Most sport cars don't have plates in from either i.e. S2k's, 350z's, etc

It's just a reason for cops to pull you over. then when they get to your window if they smell weed or they see something else inside that's illegal then they can search your car.
So as long as you are not pulling away from a crack house or don't drive by a crack house you should be good. same thing if your hanging out in a street racer area or you're driving around right after the bars shut down. they can pull you over because of your front plate missing then they will see if they can smell alcohol or whatever they can find.

if your not breaking any rule and have nothing to hide and if you don't mind being pulled over and then let go with or with out a fine then go for it.

I don't have my front plate on my TC and I haven't been pulled over yet.

Ive never had a front plate in the year that Ive had the car and never had any issues. It all depends on the local cops

Doesn't it depend on the state, here in Kansas i'm pretty sure you only need the back plate, and plus, its not like you have a pilot/tail gunner cop seating formation, i don't really think they are looking behind them when they are in front of you for a front plate, i think at most its something they charge you with after you get pulled over for something else.

well.. im from va and they require two tags (front and rear) but live in wv that only requires 1 plate (rear) or if you want 2 (front rear) but since im still register and frequently travel to va i keep both my plates on to avoid the local authorities in both states.. just playing it safe untill i register in wv.. then that front plates comin the heck off..
