i have to temporarily remove my sub and amp, so if i diconected the wires from the amp would it be dangerous to keep them laying around

 

they sell cover that go on them, its a cap thats either yellow or red and screws right on. and yes its very dangerouse. you can buy these caps a radioshaq or at the dolla store.

if i disconnect negative battery terminal can i remove the wire

 

why not just take out all the wires cause it sounds like you want to.

 

Disconnect the amp's power wire from the battery. Everything will then be safe to lie around.

 

electrical tape the ends?

 

Tap it! I mean Tape it!

 

That's what I was thinking also...

 

i believe the screw caps are better and more secure.. depending on how long you want to leave them off an amp.. up to you tho... but if you hear a pop and smell smoke they might be hitting metal... just disconnect the power from the source...
