Nascar Goes Ricer. (mod move this post to appropriate lounge
I know not many people are into Nascar and your entitled to your opinion. I personally like ALL style racing. Today just caught my eye as I noticed the cars looking alot more ricey, I thought it was just for the track today at Bristol, but apparently Nascar has changed the cars body requirement overall. With Spoilers, intercooler, shortier front bumper making the cars more boxier and front splitters. I wonder if the presence of a certain Japanese car manufacturer had something to do with it. But yeah, I just thought it was funny at the fact that people are outrage about this change lol. What do you guys think?

They have been testing the new style since early last year. Today was just the launch of everything. I happen to like the new look even though it does appear "ricey" with those ridiculous spoilers on the back. NASCAR just keeps getting farther and farther from "stock car" racing....

A. It's called, COT, Car of Tomorrow. This new design has been in the works for some time now. All the car makers follow the same design, there are (as far as I know) no differences in the body except the paint job.
B. Has nothing to do with Toyota.
C. They don't use the spoiler all the time, only on certain tracks.
D. Don't be fooled, NASCAR is mainstream but still very backwoods. If the people don't like it, they will can it soon enough.
