Default Help on Pricing for Tc

Hey guys, I'm gonna need a little info from u guys here. I'm in Toronto, Canada and I'm interested in buying Tc, but I'm confused with prices. I checkd Tc and prices vary from 12Gs to 20Gs with around same milage on car.
Also I don't know what changes were made in all year models so maybe I'm supposed to look at a specific year more than the other ?

very few changes were made over the years. 05 it came out first, in 06, it got steering wheel audio controls and different radio controls. then in 07 the engine got some changes because of the changes in how horsepower is measured so it would still make 160 hp.

as for prices varying, it depends on what accessories they installed from the dealership or what they did to the car to try and justify the increased price. but anyway, new scions are pure pricing, whatever the sticker says is what it costs, no more or no less.

oh yeah, i almost forgot, the rs or "release series" were produced in limited quantities and had unique styling features and exculsive colors.

so i guess to help you out, figure out what the kelly blue book value is of a used tc, then see what acessories it has, look up what the approximate cost of those parts are on www.trdsparks.com or something else. get an estimate on what it could take to install it if you can't do it yourself and try and figure it in from there i suppose.

yeah, from the factory, the only differences between all the scions is manual or automatic, with or without side airbags, and ofcourse the colors!

also, just remember, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "TRD TC" there are trd parts for them, but no special "trd edition" lol.

sorry, kinda an inside joke from a previous thread.

If you do a bit of research, all that isnt necessary. KBB is enough for used cars. Just look at the miles the car has on it. If you notice the price is ridiculously low, research to see if the car has or had a salvage title. The tC has been around long enough to possibly come across atleast 1 of those.

Heres a rough guide on pricing from what ive noticed. Keep in mind this is rough and can vary, use it only as a suggestion. Also, expect to pay more for a Release Series tC.

05 - $12,000 - $14,000
06 - $14,000 - $16,000
07 - $16,000 - $18,000

If you buy a new 07 you got pure price so that price will depend strictly on options and fees (local tax, title, reg, license). I suggest buying it bone stock with absolutely nothing on it. This way you will save a nice dollar. Get all the options you were gonna buy from sites like trdsparks.com. Install them yourself if you can or get someone to do it, it will still cost you less.

also, if you do get a tc with some accessories, ask for documentation of who installed them, you don't know how well a job they could have done putting it on.
