Anyone hear from the NOPI crew about them not having our trophies at the end of the event..? They said they would be in contact last week and I never heard anything.

For those that are in the dark, we did the two day show, had a good time, checked out some sexy ladies, won some awards and waited the 35 minutes in line to collect awards and certain trophies were not available. One lady said they were damaged and another guy said they did not order enough for the show.. Not sure what the true story is but kinda ticked me off after paying $75 to get the car into the show, waiting in line and they never once said they had a goof... Could have said that once we got off stage!


Also along with the $75 entrance....... They said scion was paying for us, I asked scion about this because I had already paid for entrance as they did not tell us until a few days before the event were to sign up and they said I had to talk to NOPI about getting the refund as they had already paid NOPI, I talked to a NOPI guy and he said I was SOL that I had to talk to scion.. Do I need to call someone or..? Well if I do not get it back, that is ok I guess as it was soooo nice of scion even to offer as they already do 10,000 things above and beyond any other car company.... But if NOPI is keeping the cash from both scion and myself, then that is another issue....

 

No word from NOPI on the trophy yet, as to the monies, that is coming from SCION, not likely they will not keep there word on refunding the entrance fee.

 

I Just got an email from Mark @ NOPI and this is what it said:

 

If you paid on the Nopi website, Nopi is suposed to refund to your credit card with in 2-3 weeks per Scion. Gabrielle from Scion was at the gate to make sure they dont charge anyone else to enter.

Nobody contacted me about the trophy yet either.

 

Cool man, just want to make sure they do not take double the cash home with them and still not give a trophy *LOL*

 

they pulled that trophie stunt last year when i was at atco nj

 

IMO they got lazy with the trophies when I saw them putting them together there while i registered sat morning. It looks as though there was supposesd to be something on each trophy stating what it is for but instead the trophy just says XBOX and NOPI twice...........so for all anyone else knowns I won it for playing QUAKE at NOPI and being the best first person shooter or something.

 

Yup, you could have best of show as far as anyone else would know.

Man this is sooo crappy of them... Very suprising.... Anyone call them yet..? Guess that is the next step after they promised to contact me within a week and have it right out to me....

 

I am going to email them and find out what the hell is going on.

 

Here is the response I got from NOPI. I am attaching the guys name and number as it was on the email also. This is a little off from the one week origionally quoted.

I truely hope they come through. This is the first trophy my wife has ever won. And I want to make sure she gets it. Not to mention it is the first trophy our car has won.
