We almost got accordianed at the start when a bunch of 944s crashed into eachother. Then the green dropped and we were parked so it was time to play catchup.

You'll have to watch the warmup lap, then see the start (watch for us stuck on the left), then keep an eye in the Miata's rearview mirror and watch us!

Looks like fun. The last(and only) time i ever raced on the track, the only cars i did stick around were the miatas, all the other cars were ahead of me.

 

all the cars there are usually raspy... they are race cars, they can care less about how they sound.

great video.. didnt realize it was that long, the races usually go by quick when your in the stands.

 

so what is a spec miata? a miata stripped of everything that doesn't make the car perform better or something?

 

its just a class, like the honda challenge, or what used to be the SE-R cup.

nothing special, but those miatas are quick, and for the tC to pass it was amazing, especially with no motor mods.

 

All suspension, brakes, and weight reduction. Many custom parts on the car, and many that you can buy as well. Motor mods to come soon.
