Default C/F Hatch/Trunk Installation

Whats up Mid-Atlantic peeps?!

Im looking for a glass shop to install my c/f hatch. I've heard of a few good reliable places like Safelite Glass, but I wanted to see if anyone in the area has any recommendations or have had previous experiences with a shop that does this sort of work.

Please let me know!!

Thanks in advance!

rich, just make sure they do a good job sealing it to the fiberglass, because the sealant they use is designed for sealing glass to metal, not glass to fiberglass. so make sure they know that, and tell em' to seal it good. this is the only thing thats holding me back from getting a cf hatch

Thanks for the tip. I'll remember that wherever I end up going for the install.

thats strange. i stopped by safelite yesterday, and they said they wouldn't swap the trunks because they dont work with fiberglass. i didnt have my car with me at the time, so it made it harder to explain.

well rich i also just got my C/F hatch also, i found a place in old town alexandria (name unknown, but i will get it tomorow) but they are doing mines for cheap, like 80 or so bucks to take the old glass and place it on the new one. question, rich how did u get all the wires that come through, to connect to the left side like they did on stock, aslo are you or did u make holes to re-install the interior panels, if so i might need ur help. cuz they didnt cut all the holes out on the side

i havent done the swap yet. i am contacting ptuning this morning to see if they can do the swap, and then i'll just have to take the glass to a shop to get that installed.
