Default Gauging Interest: Harness Bar (Ptuning)

Ok, so I figured this part of the tC forums got the most traffic so it'd be a good idea to post this here. This isn't a place to argue rollcages vs. harness bars. I talked to Ptuning about the harness bar they have in their tC, shown here:

And they said if there was interest (how much they did not say, but I think 20 people would be a good place to start) they would start to produce and sell it. I'll get some technical info on it as soon as they let me know but I figured it would be good to get an interest thread started. As far as I know, no company makes a harness bar for the tC so this would be the first purchaseable (read: not custom made) one.

More info when they email me back.

PTUNING is excellent!!! They did my turbo install, rear camber arm install, alignment, and soon clutch! Their TC is one of the BADDEST TC's i've ever seen!

any chance of getting something that snaps in and out for access to rear seats?

genuinely interested. Seats + harnesses will be here within a month's time, and i need a bar to run them correctly...

I'm going to ask them about having the bar part be bolt-in once I get the general specs back from them.

Ok, the bar assembly bolts in to factory points (no welding at all required).

Does anyone have any questions for them? I'm going to send them an email tonight showing them this interest thread and asking if they can have the actual bar part be bolt in as well so we can still utilize the rear (per mine an Neothin's request). If you have any questions let me know soon so I can include them.

Bump.

their are other companies who make them... auto power industies does as well. tho its a roll bar with a removable harness bar

like so... if you look at my car, you can kinda see the pic of the bar... its a bad pic to show off the bar... but:

This is for those who don't want a cage just the harness bar. This bolts in at, as far as I can tell from the info I got, the seat-belt mounts and onto the floor.

and this isnt a full cage, its just a roll bar with a removable harness bar.

and they are corbeau seats, but i forget the actually model... id have to go to their website to see the name of them

Didn't mean to sound offensive. My bad. I had been looking at the Autopower kit for a while before I asked Ptuning... the whole idea hear being Ptuning's is less overall metal so hopefully a better price...

I had been looking at A4's or Forza's... Forza's had the 3" - 5-point capability but I didn't think the reclining A4's did... but you have reclining seats with the center-belt hole, so I was just curious.

Keep it up guys!
