Default Where Can I Buy a OEM Muffler?

I'm thinking of tradin in the tC again. I only drive to work and back usually. I just waste my time on Xbox Live all night. I'm thinking about getting a Jeep Patriot. They just came out not too long ago.

Whenever I drive my dad's Explorer, I always want an SUV when I step out of it. And the Patriot has 26/30 MPG which is sick for an SUV. 172HP 5-Speed Manual and its only 200lbs more than the tC. But thats better for snow. It's pretty decent looking. I'd just tint the windows and get black rims and I'm set.

I'm almost set on it.

Anyway... I still have MOST of the stock OEM exhaust for my car. But I don't have the muffler piece. Thats where the TRD muffler was before I bought a Megan Racing mid-pipe and cat-back exhaust. Where can I get a STOCK muffler for real cheap?

I live near Albany, NY.

I'll sell you mine for $65 shipped to your door. It was only on my 07 for about 2000 miles. Let me know.

I'm three hours away and I have the whole setup. Sounds like you need from the cat all the way back right??

If you want we can meet halfway.

$100 for my whole stock setup.

I have the stock headers, down-pipe, and mid-pipe. I just need the muffler.

I'm taking a test drive of the Jeep Liberty PROBABLY on Saturday. I'll keep you guys up to speed. If I do get the Jeep; I'll need the OEM muffler. So far, Scionizer07 has my $ if I need the part.

The Patriot doesn't look like it's too bad of a choice for the segment and price. Personally, I'm anti-SUV or cute-ute, mainly because they're anti-fun to drive. High center of gravity, high sidewall tires, and soft suspension means corners are something to fear, not embrace. If you're looking to just do better in lousy winter road conditions, I would certainly recommend a set of dedicated winter tires.

However, I know it can snow a whole lot where you live. The tC will NOT do well in deep snow (over 6"), and that is the primary reason I could justify getting something with more clearance. That may be about the only reason though, unless you just like being higher off the ground for the sake of being higher off the ground.

Snow is a big factor. My job is about 20 minutes away (depending on how fast you drive). I had to call out of work a couple times for snow; and I don't have many Personal Days left at all. I don't want to waste my days off because of bad weather conditions.

I have other reasons though. One is the gearing in the tC. I drive about (Don't Flame) 60 on normal roads and 85 on the highway. At a steady 85 in the tC; I'm way past 3k RPMS. That kills my gas.

Jeep Patriot seems like a decent Jeep... at least its not a horrible abomination like the "Compass" yuck!

I hope this might help you out:
