Playin with fire where did you get your seats? if you dont mind me asking? PlayinWithFire 04-09-2007, 04:53 PM local sound shop purchased the leather kit and installed it.. http://www.katzkin.com/05/FC/mainFS.html you have some options to do: full leather seats (around 800 for the kit i believe) vinyl backed leather (around 600) and vinyl which i wouldnt do and I dont think they make seat kits out of it. Look for a dealer in your area and u could probably get all your seats done for like 1k. Then wet sand it a lot, more layers, etc. The fabric really doesn't go with the whole theme of anything, plus it sould have been pulled tighter so that there aren't wrinkles. Just suggestions, I am not flaming. Everyone has their own style. Yeah, I know, it was my first try it took me hrs to do since it was one piece and glue gun dries quick. that's the color of my car, so it does go. the painting, i didn't do it so i don't want to complain... so yes, i need to sand it and do it over.. appreciate you being honest. nebster 04-24-2007, 03:19 PM The suede shifter boot looks really nice with the FM paintjob man. Good job Ben. You are gonna have to help me out when I paint my stuff in the next few days. looks a lot better now that i put the trim piece in NightShade 05-11-2007, 01:08 AM How do some of you put in the suede on the door frabic? i took the door apart and it doesnt look i can remove it. looks the plastic is melted on. ?? nebster 05-11-2007, 01:14 AM yep gottta cut off the plastic welds. NightShade 05-11-2007, 02:26 AM yep gottta cut off the plastic welds. how would i go about "re-welding" them? I just did a paint job to see the color contrast with the oem black of the door. I like it but its so messy and the texture is like cheap paint. lol I used the duplicolor stuff. nebster 05-11-2007, 02:29 AM tiny screws. But whats a good material other than suede? and also i see that there is a "pocket" over the power controls, would i have to glue the fabric to hold the shape? thanks all. Neothin 05-12-2007, 06:08 AM i ripped the fabric off the a + b pillars, as well as the door panel + rear seat panel inserts. brush the cement on evenly, let it tack up for a minute, and then lay the suede on. really easy. as for ht headliner, just apply the cmenet directly to it. you have to be kinda liberal with it as the fabric will absorb all the cement. I used about 1/2 gallon of cement on just the headliner NightShade 05-12-2007, 06:11 AM thanks very much appreciated. i dont like the paint on my pass door panel so i want to rid of it asap, cause in june 5-6 i want to go to this scion exclusive event i was selected to go to. and a one stock panel and 1 spray painted one is ghetto. lol chrischoi 05-12-2007, 06:21 AM I heart the suede.
