Default warranty almost up- what is the best header to get?

they said my warranty would void if i installed one so i decided to wait till my warranty is up and now i have 31000 miles so i can start looking. so what one has the best results and where can i get one? do i want 4-1 or 4-2-1?

i'm assuming your dealership said that, and if they did, it's total BS. installing an aftermarket product on your car does not void your warranty.

anyway, on our xB's, it's a small difference betweeen 4-1 and 4-2-1 header design. 4-1 gives top end, while 4-2-1 gives more low end. it's all about personal/Brand preference really when it comes down to it for xB headers. some brands claim they give the most power, but it's very subjective. i personally have the strup header, and it's great. it gives the engine and exhaust note a bit lower and raspier rumble. there is a slight bump in top end to help when the vvt-i kicks in around 4K. it has a nice stainless steel finish to it as well, though you can't fit the stock manifold cover on it.

you can find headers on the many numerous stores online. check out the sponsored sales sections or the used classifieds.

The only way an aftermarket part can void you warrenty is if the dealership can prove that the part is the cause of the problem. As far as which header to go with, itll be personal preference on which you want. I have the DC and am very happy with it, i like the ceramic coating and it was an excellent fitament.

The DC 4-2-1 is CARB approved in 50 states.

I have the Monster Motorworks 4-2-1 and the fit was perfect. Good luck in your search.

Personal choice of brands really, which you would give your business to is the question.

ALSO.....evo....vvt-i DOESNT "Kick in" anywhere, it transitions whenever the ecu thinks you want or need the power.

Some brands aren't CARB in all 50 states, although it won't void warranty, you will have trouble passing state tests.

roger that last post. he's thinking it's similar to honda's real VTEC. VVT-i doesn't have a rpm range to "kick in" like VTECs. VVT-i takes throttle position into consideration whereas VTEC "kicks in" after a certain rpm.

VVTL-i is that one that "kicks in"

for power all the headers out will do fine because your N/A and a small motor but carb legal wise go with a company that uses carb legality as a main sellin point for there stuff like dc sports

^^^ haha you guys are correct. i misspoke. the vvt-i system is an ecu control design. but anyway, with any header choose, you'll feel a power bump. go strup.

^^^ not quite.
Perrin and Agency Power are the two most popular lightened crank pullies for our boxes. I personally have the AgencyPower one, cuz I think it looks better. Both have similar weight savings. Both are priced similarly, which is about 140-160 bucks shipped. Look on the sponsored sales for them.
