Yo,whats up! I'm new too the Scion game just bought an 07 three weeks ago. Anyways i just wanted to get some suggestions from the community. I dont want to hook my TC up to the extreme. I got the Black Sand color about to get it tented. Any suggestions on rims? I want black rims,not looking for anything too expensive :D. Thanks.

 

Congrads.....I also have a bsp.......go with the 35% tint all around.....though it's not legal it's dark enough to look good and not too dark for the cops to mess with ya.

 

Even if you had 20% I'm not sure if cops would mes with you. Tints are a good place to start with. I'm probably going to start out with rims and tints...and lights. Welcome!

Congrats on your purchase, youll find youll LOVE your BSP real soon! I also have BSP 06 aka "STEALTH" with 5% tint, but I have a waiver for it, SO even if cops do pull me over, Its legal! Also I do bealive tint is a second offence, so cops would need another reason (first offence) in order to pull you over! Anyway off topic.....on topic....Tint is usually the first to do, then rims, performance firsts are usually intake, exghaust, and headers! Anyhow, congrats again!!

Yes, I went in for an eye exam ( i already have glasses, just needed an update) and he was asking me if I was having any problems, and I had said "as a matter of fact I get headachs from the sun while driving, so he asked if I had thought about tint, and OF COURSE i have BUT i played it dumb and said no I hadnt, and well LONG story short, he actually prescribed it to me, and now no worries!!!

 

heh youre lucky... in california that would never fly, even with a doc's note.

just a heads up... in VA legal tint is 50%

you usually won't have any problems unless you come to fairfax county or prince william county. i have 20% all around and only had a problem once.

 

p.s. I have 35 % all around and it does the job but i think i might go a little darker. maybe 20%? im not sure yet but i think it would make the BSP look so much cleaner and we all know

yea i went 35% tint all around... and its supposedly illegal already here in VA.....but i had no problems.. plus i've seen other tc's //other cars here with darker tint... im thinking of re-tinting..

 

nice ride! ill just take my time and get tents first,then ill move on for some rims . but yeah COPS in the NOVA area suck, would 40% tent be good for a BSP,i really want it lookin smooth lol.

yea thats the figure llc grill. i got in on the group buy. i got the upper and fog light lower grills as well as the two side vents and had them coated gloss black and got them for 140. you may be able to set up another, i think we had nearly 50 people in that group, but i know of quite a few people who missed out and were kicking themselves. maybe you can get another one up and get a good discount as well.

 

Well I have all the grills already, and I plain on painting them gloss black myself, I just wanted the upper grill with out the scion symbol on it!
