I'm diggin' it. Are those the TYC tails??? I like the S2K antenna too. Looks very sporty.

there's actually not that many IMO and I expected that to happen but I'll get a small needle and get rid of them

the grill on the ground is an e-bay grill, the one that's on the car is a painted stock grill

Well I finally picked up my eyelids and got them installed yesterday. One things for sure, the eyelids were a lot easier to install than I expected. Bat does some good work. I was going to create a new thread for mine but stumbled across this one.

Also got the TBL redout, and smoked reverse overlays but don't have a good pic of them. Bought the smoked side mirror turn signal ones too but haven't taken the time to install them yet.

I actually sold these to a friend of mine and got the Anzo tails but I still wanted to contribute to the thread in case anyone was thinking about getting these. They were a breeze to install.

why does the color seem to be off on the eyelids that people show..i know its hard to match but they seem to be really off

Some are SLIGHTY off, but that's because vinyls only come in so many colors, but mine match PERFECTLY.

Black Cherry is WAY TOO complicated to match perfectly....just buy the CF ones or buy some Fiberglass ones and get them color matched....Blue Bat still has great stuff though!!!

Some friends of mine have ordered his stuff, good fit and color matches their colors...

Not every color can be matched to a tea. I do my best. The slight color difference actually gives the lid alittle character :wink:

hey bat was there a way i could have like 2 layers on the headlights? i was thinking about puting on the tinted headlights then putting the eyelids on top of that.i just wanted to make sure that it was possible before i purchased some

That's what my friend did.

I see a lot of people smoking the front side markers but not the mirror signals... you people need to get on that...

I like your redout TBL ack! Thinking about the same thing. I would also put red overlays on the backup lights for a cleaner look. :D

I'm hoping to replace that with a Oznium full red TBL at some point... then maybe I'll smoke the red and finally get my tails tinted.

no plans to smoke the tails, i'm not really touching the special RS features.

I like how the license plate colors match the car.

he did the back brake light and the side mirrors and no they should be 6/10. I think this week he will be doing my sisters hald of her TYC tails i think im not sure though.

They go on the outside.

The tint I was told by the tint guy at my work was 5% (limo) but I'm not 100%, it was on there when I bought the car. It's fairly dark but manageable at night. The overlays are the darker version of everything which is 6/10 tint from Bluebatmobile.net

Hi, new to this forum... I have an '08 BSP. Looked around and haven't seen an 08 or mentioning of an 08 headlight having eyelids from bluebatmobile yet. Was wondering if you've started making it for the 08's. The only major problem i see it having are the nipples which would make the existing eyelids not fit correctly...

No fogging what so ever. It was washed, been through rain, nothing. But beware because some of them do have issues. I'm just lucky. The signals were smoked with bat also.

I have his smoked eyelids and turn signals, but I haven't put them on b/c I'm looking at getting some new headlights, the Anzo's keep calling me back...but SO MANY people have issues with them... :nails:

are you talking about this overlay? its not a CF overlay....its an overlay for CF hoods that covers the sides of the hood that runs along the body line. in short you'll need a carbon fiber hood first. the overlays can be found on the website.

As far as I know the tinted vinyl only comes in a smooth shiny texture. You were looking for a texture like this? I think you can get it with any spray tint, because all paint is matte until buffed out smooth. Hope that helps.

its not that the lid is black, its the thickness of the vinyl. the dual layer doubles the thickness, stopping the light from coming through. although you are right...less light should come through, but if you wanna be sure get the dual layer.

I'm kinda iffy on the side marker overlays though. I havent decided if I want to keep em on because at some angles you can see the sidmarker.

putting an eyelid on a headlight that you spray with soapy water is one thing....putting an eyelid on another eyelid will stick as soon as it makes contact. You don't need the double layer. Get the dual so in case you screw up, you have a spare.

Yeah I actually got the dual and then screwed up on my first attempt to apply the eyelid. I was so happy I had a back up set. 2nd try went perfect :-)

He'll make everything clear in his response. I will tell you though that he doesnt take paypal unless the funds come directly from your paypal balance and not through a credit card.

getting the gtr taillights with the reverse cut out. Any suggestions for installation? I'm worried about the cutout fitting over the reverse just right. Which corner should I start from?

Another install question. I had the '05 headlights with the smoked sidemarker and eyelids. There was a little bit of overlap...

Now I'm doing it for my '08 headlights. Will they fit flush against each other or should I trim the sidemarker with an exacto? Or should I just overlap the eyelid over the sidemarker?

don't overlap. just butt them up right next to each other. then just work the excess around the light. or if theres too much to tuck uner/around the light, trim it with an exacto. if you try to trim on the light, you might end up scratching the lens, like i did on my tails.. =[ unless you're VERY careful not to use too much pressure when trimming.

which is really hard to do...i effed up my old 3rd brakelight trimming it. if you really really want the job done right, take your tail/head lights out from the car.

not only is it easier to work with them, you can make relief cuts where the vinyl will wrinkle where there are curves. when i put my oznium 3rd brake light in, it was so much easier working with it off the car.

Picked up a few brow's from bat a few weeks ago.. finally got them on.. here it is on 08 headlights again.. the agressive looking ones.. You'll see a line that shows one on top of another, since i bought these 08's from a SL member who recieved it and there was a huge gash from it from the last person putting on vinyl and cutting right on the lense.. i just did a double cover.. it doesn't look too bad.. oh and side marker smoked.. wow the car is filthy..

I mean like this, excuse the crude photoshop. I don't know if they'd look good or not, but I like the idea of following the hood line.

a better photoshop would be better although it still wouldn't look good. i do know that someone on here did that with cf eyelids just don't remember who it was.

Well I think they flow with the body a lot better than these, but to each his own.

like I said, to each his own...I think that one above looks bad because it doesn't line up with the hood

a better photoshop would be better although it still wouldn't look good. i do know that someone on here did that with cf eyelids just don't remember who it was.

you're probably talking about luis' car. IMO this only looks good with the CF hood. if it was the stock hood it wouldn't look right.
