I need some pictures on where people connected there AEM wideband sensor on the exhaust?

I need to have a bung welded onto the exhaust, and I just wanted to see how everyone else is mounting theirs.

Thanks-Scott

I will have to look at the manual, but I think it says 18 inches to 36 inches if you are running higher horsepower and the motor is warmer. I was thinking of the bottom of the down pipe, after the stock o2 sensor.

I thought it needed to be before the Cat? Wouldn't the mid pipe be too far down the exhaust stream?

my friend and i both have aem units. mine is mounted at the bottom end of my downpipe after my cat (yes, my downpipe is catted). my friend has his on his s-pipe. at idle, i read normal afrs fluctuating around 14.8, while his registers a lean condition (gives no reading, "---"). only when he starts to drive the unit gives a normal reading. i think this might be due to the fact that when its on the s-pipe, it doesn't see enough exhaust gas volume to give the unit a reading.

I've got mine on my s-pipe and I read my AFR's fine at idle, WOT and PT. Its at the very beginning of my s-pipe right after where the downpipe meets up with it. We calculated it to be about 30 inches or so from the exhaust manifold. Instructions say anywhere from 12-36 inches away.

I think if I put it on the bottom of the downpipe I should be fine with it being far enough away

Your friend has an exhaust leak at the downpipe to s-pipe conncection. I have mine next to the stock secondary sensor in the s-pipe, and I read a fine 14.8 at idle and a good afr at wot. However, my s-pipe downpipe connection came loose and my wideband was doing what your friend's is Sato...
