Hotchkis Sway Bar Settings Suggestions
I have an 07 tc and i just purchased the hotchkis sway bar set. I would like to know what is the best setting to put them on? I want that stiff feeling and i want to elimate body roll when turning as like to take turns pretty fast. I know that the front have 2 settings and the rear has 3 so whats the best settings combo for the car. I am lowered on tein s.techs.
Front sway bar on the softest setting
Rear on the hardest setting
you should be good set up ur alignment to compensate for understeer as well something with the front have more negativer camber then the back should balance out the car and help with understeer

though i'm told it's good to flat out disconnect the front sway (or leave stock one in) for autocrossing.
i remember once i broke my front hotchkis sway. snapped in mid-run in an autocross session. i didnt know it at the time. i just wondered how my handling got so sharp.
i've had mine on stiffest settings on front and rear since i put them on. it is really stiff i suppose, but i like to feel my car and i dont mind the roughness. i dont autox, but i do have some spirited driving once in a while. i should probably ease off the settings... oh well
I like mine both on the stiffest setting. I'm afraid I might drift like crazy if I have the front on the softest setting. Maybe I'll try it sometime just to feel the difference..
is handling really better when the front is disconnected?
im going to try this :D
also, i have my front on softest and rear on hardest, i think if i get an alignment (toe out the front a bit) the handling will be perfeccttt

though, i dont know if you want to do that for street purposes.

probably very likely to oversteer un expectedly. increases chances of rolling the car i suppose. just trying to guess here, not really sure but i'm almost positive it is there and attached to the car for a reason most likely safety related.
well, on the streets it does give your car more stability while connected. without the front sway, it can definitely change what you THINK is going to happen into something possibly disastrous. particularly in bad weather.
theres just honestly no advantage on the steets without a swaybar. you dont need the potential oversteer to that degree.
