Default i have a whole new respect for my box...

lastnight, had an issues with a freind's boyfriend. he had gotten drunk and started flippin out. he started thrownin crap around, he completely destroyed the kitchen and dinning room area of thier apartment. he had ripped the stove to pieces and halfway ripped the frig doors off. i grabbed my things and told my freind to head for my xB because it was scaring the living crap out of her. the guy came around, grabbed her and punched her in the ribs. i chucked my sobe bottel at him, hit him on the forhead. got my freind back up on her feet and started heading for the door... she turns around for her phone charger even though i told her not to worry about it. the guy gets back up, locked the door before i could get inside to help her and he starts hrowning her around the apartment room. so i went next door and grabed this guy's so called best freind and got him in on this. got the door open and this guys freind pushed the guy into a chair and started questioning his motives. at this time i grabbed my freind to get out and headed toward the xB. we noticed the guy was trying to follow but he was still up on the second story walk ways of the apartment building so we rushed over, got inside and started driving off. not 30 seconds later, the guy comes right behind us in this heavy a$$ car trying to tail us. this is where my respect and confidence in the xB has increased greatly. it was raining really bad durring all of this which gave advantage to me whilest the guy was driving some 2 and half ton Linkon Town car by the looks of it. i started taking random turns in a housed area at around 45-50 on the corners and 60 through the straights. too about 15 turns to loose him and then we pulled the old trick of hiding in a random parking way of some random house and waited untill he passed. after that i pulled out and spead the other direction toward the freeway and took my freind to her mother's.

and yes, we attempted to call the uniforms, but the phone was boken in the process of trying to talk to the dispatcher. after that i took matters into my own hands and got her out. let this be known to future box buyers... the handeling on it is amazing, even when the roads are wet.

Friggin crazy. Good work. I am a little disappointed it took 15 turns and not like 3, but good work nonetheless.

the guy was somewhat drunk and my freind went to give him one of them peck kisses or whatever. he wouldn't let her have a kiss and so she just turned around and left him alone and thats when he just lost it.

as for the turns, there wasn't alot of cover and i didn't want to risk parking in a driveway that left me in plain site. the one i finaly parked in also gave me enough time to park carefuly without hitting one of the house owner's cars. it was kind of like a basement garage in a way. the garage doors were 10 feet below the front yard so you can imagen, a house looking like a single story, but is a two story and is noticable as soon as oyu pull into the driveway parking area that leads straight into the basement garage.only the top of my fin on the back was visible so it made it a perfect spot to sit. i had about 5-7 seconds of time ahead of him so i had plenty of time to do it right at that point.

ya shes fine, she tweaked ehr back pretty good but other then that she took the other blows he did just fine. they were mainly around her hips on the sides. no bruising or pain in those areas so she'll be fine. her back wasn't all to great to begin with so that was expected.

this is about as far as it's really gona get. lastnight was the first time i've ever met the guy and i don't plan on meeting him again. even though how much i want to go back and beat the crap out of him for what he did, i have no idea where he is now. all i know is that i'm 80 miles north of where it happened and i plan to keep that distance haha.

Glad the box worked the chase OK. It was probably scared, too.

Sounds like you should stay out of the Longview area...

Were the police eventually involved? They should have been.

Take care!

"Crazy boyfriend" and "Tacoma" seem to be a nice match. Sorry, I'm an a-hole. I just had throw that in there.

i zip with mine from time to time (when the wife not in the car, she yells at me) ive got a manual and as long as i keep the RPS around 3 to 3 1/2 at the bottom of a shift its like a bat out of h3ll. i walk away for mid to small size cars with a V6 with no problem on the highway

ya it's power band may not be all that great, but get it in there and it will take off.

freind of mine wants to race me. he has a 91 corolla and claims it's got the 2.4L VVTi from the Camry, new steering system and it's a manual.

i know for a fact that i can take him off the line, but as soon as he hits 5th i'm out. his 1st through 4th is the same as the xB's 2nd-5th. his 5th is ratioed around 0.57 so once he hits his mid 4th hill start to leave me.

i had my freind hangin on the "oh ****" handels the intire time. thankfuly, she didn't make a single noise cause i needed all the focus i could get when driving that fast in the heavy rain.
