Since we get the motor from the tc does that mean that we will also get the option to strap on the trd supercharger. It would be awesome to not destroy my warrantee this time around.

At the recent Backstage event for the new xB and xD that I attended they had a Mod area set up. They had the TRD supercharger featured. They are going to test in the Seattle area setting up financing for the supercharger when you buy the car. It will be a seperate loan but be available. So the answer is yes you can.

Keep in mind, you also have the option using one of the turbos that have been in development for several years for the tC.

They chose this motor for several reasons, the availability of several options for delivering compressed air into the combustion chamber being one of them.

I really cant wait. I am not too familiar with the tc options for forced induction, do the turbochargers uphold the factory warranty? If so what will put out the most power?

Only TRD S/C, installed by Toyota Techs will uphold warranty. Everything else is off the table, just like with any other manufacturer. The TRD S/C should add a nice smooth 50 or so hp to the engine. No engine management necessary, but you'll pay a premium for maintaining your warranty.

When you upgrade to the supercharger, is premium fuel mandatory?

Premium? No thanks on the S/C then.

I have to ROFL on this one. You are willing to spend an extra $5,000 on purchase, but not an extra $2.80 every fillup? Thats an extra $9 every month (assumes about 22mpg avg, 1000 miles/month) for an extra...60 hp?

i would rather make it an electric car. They're pretty fast you know. If it were cheaper, i would definitely get an electric car.
