I am looking for upgrades for my 06 tC... does anyone have suggestions on a good intake/exhaust combo that sounds good. I am not a big fan of loud exhaust systems and def no rasp lol.... wuld like a lil power gain to

I have the injen CAI and the ARK DT-S exhuast....you are going to get the same out of about all of the intakes. The exhaust is where the difference really comes in. The ark exhaust is amazing, it is not loud at all and definately not raspy its in my opinion perfect!

how do you know theres rasp in the dr-s when you add a header?

 

theres obviously no rasp when you add a exhaust which was the question i answered for him. is there no rasp when you add a header to the dr-s?

Thats what it seemed like you were saying but yes adding a header to most setups will add rasp but the dt-s i havent heard anything bad about it.

 

what about your ark? i bet theres rasp

 

o you have something against ark or something lol? Ask someone who has the dt-s with headers and see if theres any rasp

 

I dont have headers but this exhaust is so quiet and many due cause slight rasp without hearders...the ark dt-s has a huge resonater on it so I doubt there would be any rasp even with headers

 

oh i don't care about the dt-s and im not hating on ark i already have my perfect setup w/ the sp2. just trying to help answer some questions..

 

haha alright.. would you go wit an axleback or cat back? i know catback usually puts more power.. is a shortram intake better than CAI.. or is there no reall difference..

 

a CAI is better than a short ram as it sucks in colder air...An axel back does nothing for your car except make it sound different while a cat back will give you a few more hp!

I am not sure if it is carb legal or not but if u are looking for all carb legal parts you are going to have a long search

 

well no... im just wondering b/c i dnt wanna get a bunch of stuff and then get denied when i go to get it inspected u know

 

im not sure where ur from but i live in pa and they have pretty strict inspection and every car i have had thus far has passed inspections with intakes with no carb exemption without a word...from what i hear if u get pulled over by a cop having a bad day that asks u to pop ur hood then u could be in some trouble, but other than that u should be fine

 

I've always done what i wanted to my cars cause you can always pay extra to pass inspections and emissions
