Default INSTALLED my Perrin exhaust today! Tired of evoII **PICS**

So i'm really tired of my greddy evoII rattling like a b*tch whenever i pull up to a stop light... sounds like im driving some broken down old car. So i decided to get rid of the donkey d*ck sized muffler and order a new exhaust... and i went with Perrin. I have some friends in the subaru world that tell me great things about Perrin. All i have is their crank pulley so i cant really vouch for them, but looking at the pics on their website i think the fitment should be A+ and thats what i want! might even have a little upward slant, im not sure. i will post pics when it gets here and after its installed. im excited cuz i dont know anyone that has this exhaust, i know theres only a few out there so i wanna give it a go. Now its time to sell my evoII, anyone interested?

Dunno if you guys saw that post about some problems a few people have had with the evoII exhaust, check this out https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=168155

The midpipe hangs low and rattles on that brace. Also check out how low the muffler is in this pic of mine.

after my 1st install the rattling got worse in less than a week. i just had to bend/knock down that mid brace near the cat, and also put a couple washers so the pipe has a little bit more clearance. its been a few weeks and it's been all good - hope it stays that way for as long as i have my car

i agree that the fitment could be a lot better. how come i didn't hear/read about this when i was reading up on which exhaust to get?

my DC hangs pretty low like that too and scraps on speed bumps and dips (lets out a nice TING!) good thing I bought it used. It doesn't give me any rattles though.

Well the exhaust finally came this weekend so i installed it this morning. First thoughts on the Perrin:
Fully polished :D
MUCH smaller cannister
Sweet 3D logo on the cannister (too bad u cant see it after its installed)
Less tubing on the inlet side (hoping for a better fit)
nice welds, etc

SO, took off the old exhaust and set em together for a comparison, you can see the pictures below. New exhaust went in easily and the mid pipe now sits tucked up where it should, and no longer hangs down to the point where it touches the mid brace and rattles like hell, so im very happy to no longer have that problem. Tip lined up perfectly and i have soooo much more ground clearance its great! Check out the pics and ask any questions if u have em!!

So the one at the top is the Evo and the one at the bottom is the Perrin?

Take a video clip, I'd like to know how it sounds.

I'm trying to decide what exhaust I should get... I'm somewhat leaning towards getting a Greddy.

after driving it a lot, i like the sound of the greddy better. the perrin is really deep and louder when leaving stoplights under light load. the greddy is relatively silent until u jump on the gas. the muffler is just so damn big tho... i dunno what to do

i agree that the greddy is pretty quiet, sometimes too quiet! but i really like that its quiet on the freeway. i must say i was quite shocked at the size when i first opened the box (i mean opening the box that the exhaust came in)!
