Default installing a CAI?

i have zero experience installing stuff on cars. My friend who will help me has some experience. I got the Injen CAI and i was wondering what you guys would recommend, should i try to use the scionlife guide and do it myself or should i pay and take it somewhere to have it done. If i do it myself roughly how long of a job am i lookin at? thanks

Yeah, follow the guide on SL. You're looking at maybe an hour? Definitely not worth paying somebody else to do.

I followed the guide on SL, it was my first real car mod, and it was ridiculously easy. Don't pay, do it yourself. It's pretty tough to mess something up as long as you are careful with the MAF sensor. The only tough part is getting the CA extension tube through to the fender, assuming you don't take off the bumper, which I didn't bother with.

I recommend putting a sock over the cold air intake tube when trying to put it through the fender. That will prevent it from getting all scratched up.

well if you don't have any tools and don't plan on really modding then get someone to do it for you its not THAT expensive...but its good to DIY for some experience
