CAT
Ok so heres the deal. I just got an ARK DT-S exhaust last week, and it is a true cat back systemit slid over the old piping and clamped on right after the cat. Yesterday I installed the ZPI s-pipe. So now I have this s-pipe flowing into the oem cat then right into the ark exhaust. Do you think I am loosing a lot of power from this? I asked a guy at the shop and he said he would make me a pipe I could take in and out for $40 dollars. How restrictive do you think this stock cat is being? are there any aftermarket high flow cats I could put in there? I really like the way my exhaust sounds now, is removing the cat going to make it much louader? cause I do not want that...thanks
Hey what's up i'm in PGH too but we haven't met, what part to you live... But anyway. The Cat is a HUGE noise reducer. You DO NOT want to get rid of it. If anything, by removing it, you may gain 2 or3 HP but gain a ton of headaches from the sound. Not worth it IMO
I am planning on going turbo very soon...Ok its def not worth it for 2 or 3 hp cause i love the sound of my exhaust right now and would not want it to be louder....thanks
