Default Installing my Radar detector

Ok, so this is my idea. I want to mount my radar detector on the dash with velcro near the windshield. I would like to be able to run the cord to the windshield and down in the defroster vents. How could I do this? Does the whole dash just unsnap? Any ideas? I don't want the cord to show very much, not even to run them down to the AC vents.

You will need to unscrew a bunch of screw to loosen the dash to run the wires. Some are in the glove box, some behind the gauge cluster, some under the waterfall center bezel.
That's going to be a long project to hide one wire.

There's a DIY topic somewhere on these forums that show you how to set it up so that you run the wires through the roof. Let me see if I can find it.

Here it is:

my friend tried the velcro on the dash and it wouldnt stick to his dash at all, just thought i would let you know, and he has a tc so it might be the material of the tc's dash or those like tiny line textures.

If you mount the detector that low it won't receive signals from the rear as well (seatbacks, etc) You'll get your best forward warning mounted as high as possible. If you mount it next to your mirror, the wires can be routed behind the window/headliner trim.

I ended up putting it at the top of the windshield and wiring it up with the sunroof- It works and looks great. I hope to have pictures up soon.
