Bad Rubbing Issues
Okay so i got some 19 inch rims for my tc and im rubbing bad. I have some staggered sevas s-stars and im lowered on trd springs. They are 19x8.5 (35 offset, 225/35/19 tires) in the front and 19x9.5 (40 offset, 245/35/19 tires) in the back. I rub some with only me driving in it, but with someone is riding with me it gets worse. And if someone is in the backseat, it is TERRIBLE. And i havent let more than 3 people (including me) into the car while im driving it. So i went to a good bodyshop that i know from experience has the best prices and he said it would be $750 to get only the back fenders shaved. I know spacers are used to make rims stick out, but i was wondering if there are some that can tuck them in so i wont spend so much money to shave the back fenders. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Griff

there are no affordable suggestions unless you maybe get some super stiff suspension springs and shocks to keep the car from settling under all the weight. expensive body modification is probably the only solution.
that is why it is kinda stupid to put big rims on cars. they are for show, not practicality.
i doubt rolling the fenders is going to be cheaper. if anything, it is probably more expensive because of how time intensive it is.
just save your self the time and money, sell your 19's and put on either 18's or 17's. big rims are just for show cars that don't even get driven on the streets, they get trailered everywhere. they just weight the car down and give it negative performance in all catagories.

My car can't pass 120 now. Why? Because at that speed it is fighting against the mass of my wheels. In an ideal world a larger radius wheel would benefit in top speed, but unfortunately, that pesky nuisance called physics drops in.
a larger rim would technically produce more torque.. I guess it would possibly could be faster if it weighed the same with a higher mass concentration in the center...
but maybe not, thats why im not doing well in my dynamics class...
anywho yea 9.5s and freakin huge rims... There's nothing other than a fender roll.. you can do it yourself with a baseball bat if you want (you said the cheapest way and although I might get flamed you want it the cheapest).. or you can get a shop to professionally roll it..

Even if you got it done by a shop, in no way would it cost anywhere near the $750 the shop you went to told you. I don't even know what they mean by getting the back fenders shaved, are they gonna try and cut off the excess material instead of rolling it or are they going to try and expand your rear fenders wider.
