recently, i purchased a CF heat shield from Carbonlux, and had LOTS of people ask me a lot of questions about it. they are not massed produced yet, so i just thought id share a couple pics and a link. i know many of us that have the Strup exhausts have had an issue with it migrating and resulting in melting our bumpers if the issue is not fixed soon enough (mine took appx 4 weeks). also, there has been a lot of talk about ppl wanting a product like this. so, here you go

Dead sexy. I was going to make an aluminum version for my rear bumper. This is an awesome solution for people rocking stock bumpers....

How is this installed?? I think I saw two screws on the underside of the bumber....

 

I saw that on ebay... it looks pretty cool installed.

 

all i did to install it was take off the lower bumper lip, apply 3M double sided tape to the back of the shield, line it all up and stick it on, drill a hole in each side through both pieces, and stick a bolt and a few different washers on each side, and put a nut on the bolt.

easy.

Hey Kiss? How come your tip barely sticks out. My V2.0 sticks out almost an inch farther and I have like 3/4 inch space all around so no melting.

 

i have no idea. wondered the same thing when i installed it. i wish it stuck out just a lil bit...

 

Could be you have an earlier model or something. Some of the pics I saw before I got mine were like yours and I worried it wouldn't stick out any. Still loving the sound tho.

 

no, mines a v2. got it in feb when i came back from my deployment.
