Default good enough deal to buy?

i found a pioneer avic-d3 for sale online for $769. how good of a deal is that compared to the ones at crutchfield or elsewhere? how much to install since im not going to take the chance myself and install it? im also looking at retaining steering wheel functions as well as ipod compatability so how much more would i be looking at?

769 is a great price however do consider where it is coming from. you may pay more from crutchfield, but at least you get a really good peace of mind knowing that if anything happens you can go to cruchfield to help you out.

also depending where you go will depend how much you pay. but also keep in mind that sometimes they do poopie jobs and sometimes they do awesome jobs, it all depends whos working that day. id say save a few bucks, learn about your car and do it yourself. its alot more fun that way. :D

and to keep the steering wheel functions youd need the PAC SWI-PS. which is available from crutchfield for about 60bucks. this is a bit picky to install but relatively easy.

and for the ipod compatibility, you need the adapter for the headunit that allows you to connect the ipod.

also if you go with crutchfield, they also give you free harnesses and kits, and a how to guide. which is about $40 atop of the deck. its a good deal but i say watch out for where you buy it from hope this helps and good luck.

i did but deleted it. it really isnt a good deal when you look at what you can get at crutchfield for only 250 more. all required installation equipment. a bonafide company to deal with and the rear camera for free($250 value)

Just remember through crutchfield you get 15% off everything when you add 2 accessories (sat. radio tuner, bluetooth, speakers, etc) and you get a free rear view camera. the camera you can turn around and sell on ebay for around $200. so my total with the Avic, Bluetooth, and sirius will only be around $867 you cant beat that deal anywhere.

15% Off Code (requires purchase of 2 pioneer accessories $40 or more)

you need to make sure you have 3 pioneer products over 50.00.
The steering wheel control adapter is not a pioneer product, and the Ipod cable is under 50 bucks.

Right now it is going for 889.99.
