I'm looking at getting a new CF hood and I noticed that the AIT N1 cf hood and the Seibon VS-II look the same. There is also a Seibon hood that looks like the VS-II. Its called the BC. Could anyone clarify the difference in these three hoods for me? They all seem to be about the same in price range. And I was wondering which one is going to be more durable and have the best fitment. The one with the best durability and fitment will be the one I choose since they all 3 look and cost the same. Unless someone can help me out on this one.

AIT is not well made and is known for their cracking and breaking and poor structuring...Seibon on the other hand is a great company...

both ugly and poor quality, go kami reverse cowl.

 

I have the Kaminari one but that one's ~$825 . But if you had to choose from the 3 you listed, I'd go with Seibon. They've been around longer, I believe.

 

Sorry guys, my money tree got blown down in a tornado. I dont think i can spend 825 just on a hood. Do u think i should get a regular OEM one then a vented one?

i think the BC has a nice subtle vent that isnt too out there. i think it gives more of a sporty look then just a regular OEM one.

 

i dont understand why a guy with 19's would care about weight reduction, but i would go with an OEM style hood on your car.

 

Honestly, im not into racing it a whole lot. By the time ppl spend 3-6 grand on a s/c or turbo, they might as well have used that money to spend on a more higher end car. But thats just me. All i got under the hood is a black injen cai and thats all i plan to have until i get all the apearance mods done first. I really like how the cf hoods look so why not 19's with a cf hood. And im just wondrin wats wrong the the BC hood, does it look ricer to some ppl?

 

we have the AIT racing hood on our race car, all i have to say is that it has a beautiful weave and is light.
