so i don't want to pay twice as much just to have someone install them for me. so how hard is it? my dad is a machanic, so he can help me if i needed.
also, how far of a drop? i want a minimum of 2 inches. do you suggest more or stay at that? i plan on adding new lips/skirts and don't want to bottom out going over speed bumps.
and lastly, what aftermarket springs do you suggest?
come on guys, help me out!

Two inches is perfect. Install is VERY easy. I did mine with hand tools.
Look up, put your mouse over "features", and in the drop down menu click "Tech". Within the tech section there is a writeup for a DIY Spring install that covers it.

If your dad is a mechanic, this should be a fairly simple job. I'm not a mechanic, and put new springs in myself. It took me almost all day, but I did it with just hand tools. You will learn more about your car and feel a good amount of accomplishment doing it yourself.

For springs, the Tein-s or Tanabe df210's are good choices.

well, he's not very supportive of my new habit. i thought he was gonna flip when i asked him to show me what the extra wires on the headlights were for. but anyway. i guess there's only one way to learn.
will you be able to see the springs, casue i don't want an ugly color peeking through behind my wheels.

Like everyone said pretty easy job. Pretty much the only place you can see the color of the springs is in the back.
