Default How do you mount your Subwoofer ?

For all those with the small compact Bazooka or other types of Sub Systems , aside drilling how are you all keeping your system from rolling or sliding? Pics and Ideas would help a bunch thanks a million

I have an Infinity Basslink and I've only rolled it over maybe once; other than that, if you don't drive like an a$$, you should be fine.

I put a couple of strips of velcro (the half with the "teeth") on the bottom of my bazooka tube in my other car...it grips to the carpet and keeps it in place pretty good with just an occasional rollover

4 screws, ruthlessly drilled through the spare tire cover and stabbed deep into the carpeted enclosure of my sub box.
Just buy a spare if you sell the car.

I also drilled screws into the spare cover for my Bazooka. It doesn't look bad when removed, just 4 small holes. Besides, I always have the rear cargo mat to cover the holes.

Without holding it down, a lightweight sub WILL roll around under normal driving conditions. Some kind of support is a must.

Don, I ended up mounting a JL Audio 8W7 under the passenger side front seat. it is basically wedged between the two raised areas of metal on the floor pan, and I have carpeted wooden blocks placed in front of and behind it to keep it from sliding front to back. With the sub itself at 17 lbs plus the weight of the box, it goes nowhere. Only catch was I had to remove the front seat to get it in place.

Have you seen the Scosche set up in the latest Siphon magazine? It fits in the small cargo space under the right side of the trunk.
I don't know about the quality of the sub, but the setup is verrrryyy clean.

Hey Box, saw that one and also the offering from Audioformz. Looked great, though a bit pricy for my taste. Good solutions for 99% of the box owners who have a trunk. I, however, was a bit short on space.

On a side note, I did find out that a 36" tube television will fit in with room to spare on the side, so when my washer finally gives out I should be alright.

There's a cool sub setup in Siphon Magzine that fits exactly in your cargo area. Really nice..

Actually, I like your setup. Its still very clean stashed under the seat like that. I may have to get more details from you about it.

hmm , Most likely I am going to pick up the Bazooka 8 inch or 10 inch Bass Tube. Which would be better ? Im not looking to pound my windows but some nice bass. How in the world does the Bazooka get strapped or mounted from rolling ? Anyone have photos ? , I wonder if it can fit under the seats. .

I'd get the 10inch which is what I'm lookin at at the moment. The 8inch is smaller overall than the 10 but the 10 should give u more of a puch than the 8. The only bazooka tube I've heard was a 8inch n it does fill out the bottom end real nicely, but when it went to hit those hard bass notes thats where it came up short. The 200watt 10inch tube should be just right. And no it won't fit under the seats. If u get the 8 u can have it facing back just like in the stock scion photos, but since the 10 is bigger u'll probably have to have it facing the side.
