Before you get flamed--do a search for VSC. You will find lots of different threads. I have had them come on four times--the reasons being:
1) bad alternator--replaced by toyota
2) leak after installing AEM CAI
3) Son did not tighten gas cap (this is a very common cause) and
4) bad VVTI timing mechinism replaced by Toyota.

As you see--many many reasons--please do the search and you will see...........

take it down to an autozone and have then run the code, they'll do it for free. Then come back with the code. Without the code, it couldbe any number of the aforemention items
