Default PISTON QUESTION

i thought i read on here somewhere that the pistons in a 1nzfe were forged from the factory. is this true? i have tried calling toyota, and the dealership, but cant find anybody to awnser my question. thanks

well, it does have a relatively high 10.5 to 1 compression, so maybe they are?

ok, so after further inspection of a 1nzfe stock piston, they are cast aluminum. the rods are not forged either. i cant believe with all these claimed scion motor "experts" that nobody could awnser my question.

the pistons aren't forged nor are the rods. The only forged piece is the crank shaft.
