i got my big 3 upgrade kit from elemental design and also got D34/78 optima yellow top battery with tsunami battery topper.

im going to have my subs system installed tomorrow and i already asked quite a handful of stores that does big three before (circuit city, bestbuy, and some underdog professional audio stores) and none of them know about the big 3 upgrades.

i will need someone that can help me step by step on how to hook up the big 3 wires to my D34/78 battery with tsunami topper. i will need to have it done by tonight cus its the only time i can do it.

 

with the tsunami topper you'll want to run your big three wires on the side terminals. as far as the actual hookups go i'll be doing a DIY next weekend if you wanna wait

 

ill be watching this one. I plan on doing the big3 once i get my retro back and new ED system installed!

 

is it ok to have the system installed first and then big three later or better to have big 3 before?

 

it won't hurt.... but i would do it before.

 

doesn't matter either way you'll just get less of the light flickering when you do it

on the stock ground under the battery, can we reuse it? Just sand it down more and also add the other one on top or seperate ground for both?

 

separate would be better, you can probably reuse it. the whole idea is just to beef up the stock stuff with 0 gauge or 4 gauge.

 

yea ill be using 4awg with KnuKonceptz Wires.

 

im doing mine with 1/0 knu wire... no it doesnt matter if you do the big 3 before or after the install. if you do it after then you will notice the improvement in your stereo...

 

as far as using the old ground location that is fine.. as long as you still plan on replacing/ adding wire and just using the same whole... you want the ground wire to be as big if not bigger then the power wires..
