Default Clutchmaster Stage3 - Flywheel - LSD Install - Props!

I just drove my car back from the car dealer. I had them install the clutchmaster stage 3, flywheel, and limited slip. The clutch is a lot lighter then the stock clutch. It actually starts to grab inches from the floor. Instead of that jerky clutch feeling I had w/ the stock clutch ….it engages so fast and is a ton smoother. It grabs so low and clean that I even stalled out, (just once) pulling out of the dealer, for the first time.

The light weight flywheel is also great. I was wondering if it was going to mess me up shifting due to rapid rpm gain/loss ....Nope! It’s perfect!

The limited slip on the other hand is pretty cool. Its fun punching it around bends and watching the car try to pull through the turn instead of loose control. I know that it’s a few bucks getting these 3 things but its well worth it.

Props to http://www.libertyscionnj.com : Keith at liberty Toyota - Good job, good attitude, and good service.

Awesome, that must be a fun car to drive. If you could do it again, would you still do the LSD?

I would deff say to wait and get everything done. With all 3 interacting together you no doubt feel a difference in the way the car drives. The clutch is lighter then stock and is good for over 360trq which is a big change in the way it grabs. The flywheel is a lot lighter then stock but it doesnt rev too fast. The parts and labor totalled around $3k.

Without a dyno slip, video of your car in corners, comparison data, a g-force graph, install photos, statements from random witnesses, 1 friend and 1 living relative I can only take your statements as gossip and hearsay on this forum. Once proper documentation is completed and forms filled out then we may take your perceptions as reality

Nice work yo

by saying lighter than stock clutch, you mean physical mass right? or is the aftermarket clutch actually easier to depress than stock cluth. cuz if its the latter, im definitly picking up a clutchmasters stage 3.

Its both .....its easier to depress when u are pushing down ...and since it grabs so low when shifting as soon as u start w/ the up motion w/ your left foot ...you already if gear. Because of that the gear changes are faster and smoother. The flywheel is light weight. That allows the engine to spin up faster but on the other side ...the rpms go down a tad faster. No doubt I would tell anybody getting a clutch installed to get the flywheel if they have another $3-400. There won't be any additional install time for the flywheel since they have to take the stock one off to begin with.

hooks up hard. Its odd because if you pushed the car going around longer bends you would eventually have to worry about the tires sliding ....now you have to make sure your rear tires dont skid cause the fronts stick. I havent really done so but if i drop the clutch out at around 3k it will just go. The 3 new parts together really change the way the car drives.

wow thats awesome! i was set on a competition clutch or clutchmasters stage 2 cuz i didn't wanna have to deal with the stiffer clutch (i daily my turbo tc). but now i guess i'll go for the stage 3 (and flywheel of course) :D

There is no reason I can think of why you shouldnt. I was trying to ask a lot of people these types of questions before I bought my clutch/flywheel and I concluded on what I have now ...and if you need a clutch/flywheel I would get the same ones. I was shocked that it shifted a lot nicer.

Good deal ^ I already have a front strut bar that im going to put back on this summer, an upgraded rear sway bar, and a 4point strut bar. Post up when you get the LSD installed. This is my first day I have driven in the rain and there is a huge performance just w/ normal driving. I can actually pick up speed quick enough for NJ driving w/o spinning my wheels.

Did you already buy your cluch yet? If not I would say to go w/ the stage3 ...its great

hehe. thanks. The hardest part was waiting a few months while I bought the different parts ....and watching them sit on my floor till another month later.
