Default Stock Wiring harness + Aftermarket HU

I've decided to get an Alpine CDA-9883 and the Sirius Alpine reciver. The local alpine dealer/shop is looking to charge 100 in labor+ materials to install them, i know other decks ive had installed they always ran a seperate power wire with a blade fuse to the HU. Is the stock Harness safe to run that deck's power from? (im looking to do it myself and save 100 bucks)

Also does anyone know how much wiring is involved with putting in the Sirius SIR-ALP1 in? Where is a good place to mount it? Dash? under the seat?

you will be ok with the factory harness. Hell the power wire(s) provide enough to power a seperate amp. (bazooka sub)

I've seen some where people run 10ga form the head unit the the battery but I dont think they saw any major gain.

Alright, cool, i just didn't know if the stock wiring could handle a higher powered deck, thanks for the clarification. I will do it my self, I have installed may decks before but its always been in older cars.
