Default HID ballast mouting

Hi All,

I searched for places to mount the HID ballasts... seems like mostly people are using double sided tape or velcro to do this...

Has anyone used the mounts for the ballast and screwed it in... if so where...

For the pass side I was thinking near the washer fluid pump... there was a " screw hole " that seemed to match perfect....just a little tight with the ballast there

For the Driver side I was thinking under the battery there are 2- 3 holes use one of those ?

I dont want to drill any holes... and not sure about using velcro or double sided tape, since there are the most worst pot holes on my way to work...

Also with velcro what are you using to hold the ballast in place

Thanks

jay

get the grey 3M tape and make sure you clean the areas WELL and you'll be fine. My ballasts for my fogs have been mounted for months and are doing a-ok (the highways here in orlando SUCK)

listen, if you buy 3m double sided tape from your autoparts store, no pot whole you hit will knock that ballast off, trust me. when i traded my tc in i had to rip off the ballast, that thing was attached on there so damn good, i could not imagine that hitting some bumps is going to knock it off, you could roll you car off the grand canyon and that ballast is still gonna be stuck to the car. heres a pic of the drivers side.

i dont think its any of those, all i know is i bought it at auto zone. its made by 3m, the actually tape itself is gray, but has one side that is covered with a red plastic layer that peels off.

no tape for me (dont trust in it)

on this 2 pics u can see my driver side ballast... i found a few hole behind my intake.. so on the bottom there is a short but fat screw.. and a zip tie on the top..

other side:

well i tried to find a good place but this was the easiest... i have to remove if i want to change my bulb or led... but to remove and reinstall is gonna be half minute. MAX!
so... zip tie:

ziip tied on that cable too... just to prevent too much moving..
