 You do know this is a 1.5L 4 banger. No matter how much you want a nice deep sound (Something like a 5.7L Camaro) it aint going to happen. Now you can get some exhaust that sound deep down low but once into the higher rpm you start to get that fart sound a little. I suggest you take a look at this http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25446 for some info on that exhaust. Also if you dont want to look at that link here is the sound clip from it:

I know i'll never get a deep muscle car sound, but my last car was a 2002 focus zx3 with the 2ltr and i boug the Flowmaster setup for it and it sounded amazing. I always had focus people ask me how i got such a deep tone, so i guess i am just looking for something that is not embarassing. And also kinda inexpensive if possible..

I can understand that. Also though even the focus has has .5L up on the xA & xB. So that might make a little difference. I wish you luck & if you can read Japanese maybe you would like the one of the ones listed here: http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/customize/ist/custom/sound/index.html
Sound 1:

Sound 2:

The only thing im not sure about is if they would fit the xB. [/url]

If price is your main issue, try to get a FlowMaster knockoff and have a good muffler shop hook it up for you. That's what I did, had a couple of mufflers in the garage for a car that we don't have anymore. It's some kind of FlowMaster knockoff (chambered with mechanical baffling, not packing), oval shape, 2.25" offset inlet and centered outlet. Had a muffler shop install it, along with an "S" pipe that goes to a 3.5" chrome tip. Probably cost about $100 for everything. If you're not entirely satisfied with the sound, you could always go the next step and have the muffler shop run some 2.25" tubing from the cat back to the muffler inlet. Shouldn't cost too much more for them to do that.
