Default IPod Connectivity in Scion tC

I recently purchased an '07 tC w/the Ipod connector in the middle console. Do I need a special cable to plug it in or do I just use the one that came w/my Ipod? I'm confused.....

You need a special cable, they like to hide it under ____ in the glove compartment

the dealer should have gave you a cable with the radio... mine was in the center console when I bought it.

Default IPod Connectivity

Should the cable have been given to me by the dealer to connect the Ipod in the center console or is it something you have to buy separately?

If you paid extra for the Ipod capabilities, then it's a special Ipod only cable that should've been given to you by your dealer. If you have the standard aux connection, then all you need is an 1/8 inch to an 1/8 inch stereo connection found at radioshack for like 5 bucks.

They normally place the cable in the glove box.
It's about 6-inches long, black, with one block connector and one Apple dock connector.

yeah.. if you got the ipod radio.. they're supposed to give you the cable.

you do and should NOT need to buy anything else... you paid for it already.

definitely check the glove box.

Are you sure it's the iPod connectivity? Here's how to check, do you have two ***** or one on the radio? If it's iPod, you'll have 2, one on the left, and one on the right. In addition, you'll see a "Color" button that changes the display color. If you have these on your HU, then you have iPod connectivity and a cable should have a cable in the glove box or some where around there.

If you only have a single **** in the center, then you do not have the iPod connectivity, but you still have an aux input, that many salesmen tend to gloss over and just say, "you can connect your iPod here!" And that one does not have a cable included.

The iPod/Scion cable is a $99 part, so you don't want to buy it if you don't have to. Check you HU, if it's the one I described as having the cable included, and you can't find your cable, do not pass Go, do not collect your $200, go directly to your dealer and tell them you did not get the cable, and that you'd hate to have to mention that on your survey.
