Since the other thread turned into a grease monkey pissing match, I thought I'd start a new one.

Has anyone else besides Lundy installed the unichip with a supercharge & i/h/e setup?

I have:

TRD SuperCharger
ZPI Stage 0 SC 9psi Pulley
InGalls Engine Torque Damper
Bosch 110 BPV
Modified K&N Cold Air Intake
Ground Fusion Ground Wire Kit
AlphaWorks Header
o2 Simulator
Magnaflow hi-flow cat
CreativeCompacts catback 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust
Borla muffler
2.5" ZPI s-pipe

And I need some fuel management real bad but I need to know whats going to work consitently without much hassle and provide decent gains, because my setup runs RICH. That Im starting to think I may want to slap an intercooler on this thing before I tune it and consider some pistons/headstuds/rings....?

Dave, Lundy, feel free to chime in here, forcefedracing has got some nice stuff both available and on the way it sounds...

Oh and please shutup about the backpressure debate, no one cares in here.

im my honest opinion you dont need the unichip, especially for the 900 dollar price tag. I am using an SAFC with a front mount intercooler and soon to be 10 pounds of boost and it works great. I dont see the need to spend 900 dollars when i can get the same results i want from something that costs 300 dollars, especially casue the unichip has a lot of features a daily driver doesnt need.

again thats just my opinion..

..ps you dont need back pressure on a centrifugal supercharger!

Safc... how? I thought you needed a new regualted fuel line run to get those to work and even then arent they pretty limited, that would be sweet tho if thats all you need...

The unichip you can control timing. With the S/C reflash you lose a bunch of tq. SAFC will not help you there...

Thats good that I lost tourque its hard enough to keep it on the road as it is until the tires heat up. :P $#%@#! Wisconsin weather...

So with you guys running the safc, is there a DIY or guide I've looked over in my searching or does it come with decent instructions?

I know Dave(ffr) will go more in to depth on this than I will but the Unichip is sooo much more advanced then your standard piggyback. I'm not saying that SAFC's aren't good but if you live in a climate like i do(4200 ft above sea level where the barometric pressure nearly changes everyday) The SAFC cant read barometric pressure(or a quarter of the things a unichip can do), the unichip can. So if I feel like i want to drive to Sacramento where it is close to sea level I dont have to worry about leaning way out and possibly damaging my motor(as alot of my friends have done in the past with the SAFC). So the unichip allows you to run a very aggressive tune with out having to worry about leaning out. detonation... Therefore you always get the most power out of your motor regardless of conditions.

As for possibly an intercooler, its still up for grabs, i'm going to try water injection first to see what kind of power it nets.(and yes my water injection wiil be controlled by my unichip). The possibilities seem endless with the Unichip. Nearly advaced as a stand alone but the ease of piggyback.

its entirely up to you...with the right injectors and pistons/rods you can basically push the limits. Plus the Unichip can control water injection so you can get aggressive with the timing if you have the right water setup.

Huh. As far as I know, the Unichip can't read barometric pressure or anything of the like. It modifies the signal that the ECU sends so any calibration that is done by the ECU will remain. It's a simple and elegant solution to changing environments. The ECU is made to adapts to a wide range of environments, what the Unichip does not do is mess with that adaptibility.

With E-manage u can tune the ignition timing if u get the harness. I have it on my car, but havent installed the ignition harness yet and got it retuned. Its sitting in a bag in my back seat waiting to be wired up. Just have the pressure sensor and injector harness on right now.

Couldnt have said it better myself. I moved to SoCal from reno/tahoe NV, now I dont have to worry about snow. Had to go rear drive. And to be honest the s/c was never that impressive to me. Thats just me though.

Well 249 point something to be specific. Its on the cover of www.forcefedracing.com if you want to see the old car and the #'s we put down. We originalliy did 240whp with the ZPI pulley and then switched to the NST pulley and changed the map a little bit and got 249whp.
