I checked fueleconomy.gov, and as my other post said, we just got my dad a 96 corolla with 75K miles on it.
Fueleconomy.gov lists it at 26 city/30 highway for the 1.6liter. I wondered what people actually are getting vs these stats?
Typically I know good things to change are the air filter (done), pcv valve, and fuel filter, check tire pressure. At this mileage, I didn't know what else may be good to check on for a corolla?
Since I am new to Corollas, I basically want to know what things to look out for that can go bad/need replaced, etc.
Thanks!

| Before I got my 08 tC I had a 96 Corolla with 190K on it and it was still getting around 24-26mpg. I only filled the tank up less than 10 gal every time and I went around 230-250mi before the light came on. |

| I have a 1996 Corolla 3spd automatic with 131,000 miles on it. I've kept track of my mpg since I bought it in 2006 and averaged 31.5. Best tank I had was 39MPG and the worst was around 23MPG. High A/C usage and dense city driving I get 27 and no A/C highway I get around 35. |
