Woohoo! Just ordered mine. LUCKYSQ (only one my GF and I could agree on, I wanted ROTTN SQ). Someone already ordered SCIONXB! check out www.dmv.ca.gov if you want reserve a personal license plate. Cost is $42 and $25 annual fee. And yes I know registration fee is going up. sucks.

 

Thanks for reminding me. Ordered my plates too. I got "BOXD N". I wanted "BOXED IN" but it was sewn up already.

I'm bitter.

I called DMV today to check that the order went through - something I always do after online orders and they said "no". I asked why not and she asked what my requested plate was. I said SIGH ON and she checked and said it was avaliable. I asked again why the order didnt go through and she put me on hold and said that although that plate is "available", it is "too similar to an existing plate". What the heck does THAT mean? Either it's available or not. Either the plate is taken or it's not. How can a plate be "similar"? If SIGH ON is not taken, what makes another plate so similar that I camt get that? (I understand that spaces dont count.)

Grrrrr.

Back to the drawing board.

I love the not Sky-on! I mean what word in the English language when you put "Sc" together would make you have the Sk sound. There is none! People can be retarded! I have said Sigh-On to so many people repeatedly and they still say Sky-On! I feel as though I should be talking to them with a speech impediment then maybe they will get it!

 

where do you go to check if it is available first? i wasn't able to find that on site. i was only able to put in what i through an order form, but i don't want to order it until I know it is available.
