so i was talking to a scion guy
and he told me unless i got tints form the dealer then my warranty may be voided
also he told me all products that i install myself.. even a trd air filter.. may void my warranty.
what did you guys do? and are your warranties voided?
my friend did his own springs 20%tints and he says his warranty is probably voided now.

| The Only time your warrantee will be voided by anything not purchased/installed at the dealer is if that DIRECTLY is the cause of the failure. Theres a law that states this.. I think it starts with a W but cant remember the law |

.. heres an example:
Say u install an Injen Cold Air Intake and 20,000 miles later your engine breaks lets say due to a broken crankshaft... the only way ur warrantee is void is if they find the C.A.I did this and there wud be water in the engine and a white coating in the block to determine this...
I know some1 is going to say they didnt cover it under warantee... I read his entire thread... he took them to court... |

Tint voiding your warranty, that is comical. The act itlstl13 is referring to is the Magnusson Moss act.

| Don't believe dealers, or cops for that matter. they will lie, especially dears so that you buy all your stuff from them. and i don't know why cops lie, but i've had cops tell me tinting the front two windows is illegal, no matter what %, but in PA it's only illegal if it's darker than 25%. so don't believe dealers or cops. |
