So apparently the down pipe just has to be modded to fit the car, but besides that it should bolt on. Seems awefully cheap to me though.
Just throwing it out there for someone that wants to be brave.

the ebay header for 50$ worked ok, but this seems like a little bit more of a risk. But if you think about it, the header was 1/4 the usual price, the turbo kit is 1/3... lol

for every 100 people out there that do there homework, there is 1 noob who doesnt reasearch. they buy this crap, thinking its a weekend bolt on, and b4 you know it, they are in way over their head.. If they DO get the damn thing installed right, and all the piping cut right, and downpipe cut and re-welded, and can actually get it into dyno, guess what, the turbo burns up, or something else goes wrong.. piping is cheap, real cheap... but like i said, there are more then enough noobs out there to fall for a "too good to be true" scheme to make most of us rich..
can you imagine if you were the first guy selling the MAF resistor mod!?!?!?!

Something to remember though-the GReddy turbo kit for the 1st gen xB also requires cutting, fitting-and re-welding the downpipe.

Brand name and $2500+ and it still doesn't bolt right in. Actually for the price you get your own e-manage somewhere else and it should all work and just make sure the BO pressure is set.

There are tCs running around with huge amounts of boost-like 300hp plus boost and the engine holds so anyone who knows what theya re doing thismight not be a bad deal. For a newby it would be a mess.

I just sold my 96 Civic HB with an egay kit, never had any mechanical problem, piping did need some modification but most do. The guy i sold the car to just upped the boost to 14lb, 3yr no problem. There is pics of my civic on various honda forums.

These chinese turbo kits apparently aren't too bad for the price. They have their quirks though, like you need a oil restrictor the turbo, or the oil seals will blow out. This is from what I've read.

The one I had purchased came with one. I think it is a 50/5o chance to be honest. I would wait and save up. The cost adds up when you have to modify things to make it work, and if indeed you get a turbo with weak seals then you bleww your money. I have heard of people buying these turbos as replacements and upgrading internals.

With my hb my turbo never gave me a problem, but the down pipe was a pain in the butt, and the cheap pipe straps could not hold the charge pipes together under boost.

I wouldn't run this setup. In fact I would be boosting my xB until the factory warranty is over. I was merely throwing it out there for some other brave souls.
When the time comes for me to turbo (appx. 55,000 miles more) then I will probably go with the turbotoyotas setup.
