but $560 for what appears to be an axle back, ouch!

It's likely an axleback. My Supra's Tanabe catback cost around $750.00... then the downpipe was another $400.
It may look expensive, but you get what you pay for. I'll be between this, the TRD and Greddy (if it ever comes out?) |

| Thanks for the link. Looking for the xD-specific one though =P I know the general sound on larger engines (have one on my Supra Turbo), but not on the small engines yet... especially the 1.8L |
