I got really spoiled on my last two (big) cars with the seat bottom being able to tilt up in the front and come up under the legs a bit. I like that "sitting in a bucket" feeling.
All the other cars I drive (including my xD) have "normal" seat positions and seem to feel like they are dumping me out forward.
I just came back inside from a 35 second modification:
1) Unbolted the two front bolts from the seat rails (8mm socket fits, but keep the downward pressure on)
2) Stacked 3 really thick washers under each rail
3) Put the bolts back in
It didn't tilt much, but I can definitely feel a difference. Don't feel like I am going to spill out onto the floor board as much.
There was PLENTY of bolt thread left to hold the seat rail down securely, so I don't feel I've weakened anything at all. I may even add a fourth washer if I can find two more. |
