I've searched on here a few times with limited results. I'm in the process of selling my 07 Tacoma to pick up a new xB. After owning the truck for 1.5yrs I've found that I really don't need a 4wd two seater that gets 23mpg. I wanted something different so I looked into an xB, drove one, and really liked it. One of my main uses for the car will be autocross so I need a suspension set up that doesn't fall into the "I just wanna slam my car" genre. I want something with camber, dampening, and height adjustment. Ride quality isn't a big issue with me because most of the time it's going to be on steelies because I don't want to waste the good tires on aftermarket wheels DD'ing to and from work. Recommendations?

As far as I recall, there's currently no class for autocross for the new xB. I could be wrong, and if I am, I do apologize.

As far as suspension, the only coilovers currently available are the K-Sports. Cusco does have some in development that look to be well built units. However, it doesn't appear that the Cusco's will have adjustable pillowball mounts. The K-Sports do.

Camber in the rear will be a little more difficult to accomplish. I'm not sure if you've crawled under an xB2 yet, but it's a solid torsion axle like the prior models.
Hotchkis makes sway bars for the xB2. I have them and I love them. But, for Autocross, I doubt they're stiff enough.

I'm sure more will be available in the future.

I emailed D2 yesterday and they make a set.
7.5kg f 4.5kg r spring rates.
As far as a class for xB, I've seen two 1st Gens run at a local SCCA event. One was in STS or STX and the other was in H Stock I believe. The 1st gen STS/X one was lowered and had a Greddy S/C and full exhaust.

But anyhow, D2 does make it. It's just not listed on their site. It also comes with upper pillow mounts so you can adjust camber. Just FYI for everyone.

They list 1400 on their site, but that's retail. My guess is they should be comparable to KSport.

I think there's some thing in the rules about the xB being top heavy or something.

But as you know/have seen, people race them anyway. In a stock class, they usually fall into HS with the tC and xA (which are both actually listed).

I'm pretty confident the rule book next year will not include the xB. The SCCA event I attended, and raced in, was put on by the local Toyota/Scion dealer and was a points event.

Ya, I'm not sure why it was really in there to begin with. I'm pretty sure they don't have much of a roll problem. Especially if they're modded and lower with stiffer springs. But that's the 2008 rules... hopefully they'll change it in 09.

I was talking to my guy and he said the 2nd xB falls well below the curve on CoG measurements.

Oh, I have a buyer for my Tacoma and my xB is at port. The guy I know at Toyota is getting me a service quote for having an LSD installed.
