17 x 7.5, 42mm Offset on 245/45/17 - Going to Have Issues?

I'm planning on running a set of Diamo 26 Karat's on my 09' xB.

Specs are 17" x 7.5" with 42mm offset and I plan to use a 245/45-17 tire.

Questions:

Will these look OK with such a high offset (I really want a fender-flush look, or close to it)

Will I have any rubbing issues?

Will I have any problems once I've installed the NF or DF drop springs?

I'd recommend 235/45-17 tires to ensure that you don't have any rubbing issues up front when you drop it, additionally, 245 is pretty wide for a 7.5" wheel (buldging sidewalls).

17x7.5 +42 will sit back about 1/2" behind the face/edge of the front fenders and a little bit further in on the rears.

Will I have the same issue with the NFs and the DFs?

I don't have any issues going with a 235 tire, but will the tire/wheel set too far inside the fender well to look............umm..........."good" or, at least, not like wagon wheels on a Caprice?

If you're going for NF's get 235/45 tires for 17x7.5 wheels.

If you're going for DF's get 225/45 tires for 17x7.5 wheels.

Actually, I made a mistake in my original measurements. The tires are actually 225/45's, not 245. Sorry, fat fingers and all.

If you're not sure which spring drop you will be going with, just play it safe and get the 225/45-17's. They're what most people go with. I just personally like the extra meat on the ground and slightly taller sidewalls of the 235/45's.

If you want a slighter taller sidewall, why not use a 225/50/17?, Not sure if they make such a beast although if they do, this might work well.

motoretro, I've considered that, and 225/50's DO exist, but not in vast quantities.

I will likely go with the DFs, so I plan on keeping the overall profile the same height as stock, or close to it, with the 225/45s.
