What should I pay

:nails: newbie here! I put a 5 hun deposit on a red, manual, '08 a couple days ago. The build and purcahse price at the dealership was 15220 (base, no options). Anyway, not easily findable. But today, call to salesman to check on status and he says I have been allocated the one I want but it's on the docks in Japan and but it's an '09. I read that 09 msrp might be 100 more or it could be more, but should I, and can I hold the dealership to the buildup price for the 08? That is what I asked for and they agreed by taking my deposit.
Still excited to becoming a Scion owner.

Sounds like a tough one. But if they literally can't get you an '08 (this time of year, it would be really tough), you might not have a choice. My guess would be that you'll have to pay the '09 price... since you haven't really bought the vehicle yet and only put a down payment on it. That same down payment works on an 08 or and 09 just the same.

Of course, if you have any paper work with a specific price agreed to, then you might have to just talk to the dealer about it - then again, it would probably just come back to it being a new model year and they'd say it isn't valid.
