| i see that the blue batmobile site makes tail overlays but i am curious if they have front light overlays yet? i see that they have some for xa's but nothing listed for xd. Also want to know if anyone with the magnetic gray has the front bumber and lip overlays. How difficult is it to put on the bumber and tail overlays? |

I purchased the full head/tail light overlays from Blue Batmobile.
They are very difficult to apply. Not because of the overlays, but because of the ridiculously odd shape of the lenses.
Seriously, go take a look at your head lenses, then imagine trying to apply a flat sheet of tint to them.
After my attempts with one tail light, I gave up. They now sit in my office here, rolled up and waiting for me to pay someone else to attempt the application.
The side mirror signals were really easy to apply however. They are a more standard shape. |

| so get a tint shop to install the batmobile pieces or just ask them to put overlays (extra tint) on the lights? im getting a shop to drop the car on tanabe's and tint the car 20% on thursday and might as well have them put on the other at the same time. |

No offense to blacktrdtc, but the tC lenses are so much easier to apply overlays to than our xDs are.
There are some pretty insane contours on the headlights. The rear is probably doable with some more skilled hands (Bat did ChelsDS' rears for her I believe).
If anyone else has tried this, pleases chime in. I dont want to be the naysayer. |

When I was talking with Andy (blue bat) to make eyelids for the xD, we both agreed it would be a pain from the odd bump on the headlight. I didn't have a template made when I was there for eyelids so I don't know if he actually got a hold of another xD and got them made.
To put on the overlays you should use some soap + water and a hair dryer (on low) to put the pieces on. It's not hard, but it IS time consuming. If you're not comfortable at all doing this, I would recommend buying the pieces and having a tint shop do the install for you. |

| The overlays I have on my tails are not full overlays. There are cut outs for the turn signals and reverse lights. He can probably make full overlays no problem though since he has the template for the tails :) |

| so do you mean that the whole tail light is covered EXCEPT the back up lights and signals? or do you mean that the back up lights and signals are the only part that is covered, and the rest of the tail light isnt? |

I guess I wasnt clear. I bought the full tail and full headlight covers from him.
He has them, I bought them.
I was going to take pictures of them for his site, but read above about the difficulty.
So, yes Andy has them. In fact, he is probably still waiting for some pics from someone. If you can get them on well enough. |
